According to reports reaching the news desk of The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide, one of Niger Delta finest, Engr. Felix Braboke will today receive a rare award from the United Nations (UN) as the International Association of World Peace Advocates concludes arrangements to honour him.
The certificate of Award shall be presented to Engr. Felix Braboke by the International president of World Peace Advocates today the 12th of December 2020 at Wetland Hotel, Ughelli, Delta State by 11am.
This was made known to newsmen in Warri yesterday via a letter of nomination dated 29th of November 2020, a copy of which was forwarded to The Liberator Newspapers by Felix Braboke.
Braboke while thanking those behind his nomination had maintained that he was shocked to have been nominated to receive such an enviable and rare International award, adding that though he has always being a peace advocate, stressing that the award will definitely spour him to do more.
The Liberator Newspapers can report that Engr. Felix Braboke during his students days was a critical stakeholder in the growth and development of the National Union of Izon-Ibe Students (NUIS).
Years later, he became more visible in the Delta State political space when he contested Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a strong contender as he then was.
Apart from being a humanitarian philanthropist, he is a critical stakeholder in the Burutu Local Government politics, particularly the oil rich Ogulagha kingdom.
Braboke is currently the Special Assistant (SA) to Dr. Amb. Shedrack Agediga, Executive Director (ED), Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS), Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).
After the presentation of the award certificate and all the other formalities that must have followed, Engr. Felix will now be addressed as His Excellency, Amb. Engr. Felix Braboke.
