Ahead of the Saturday’s Governorship and State House of Assemblies elections, Engr. Kingsley Forcados, Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on project monitoring and community development has called on Deltans to massively support Okowa’s second term bid in the state.
The SA gave the charge yesterday in Burutu while playing host to several community youth leaders across the local government Area in a meeting he had initiated to muster support for the governor and his deputy.
Forcados, one of the most performing SAs in Delta State had also charged the youths, women and the elderly in Burutu Local Government council to vote for other candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP during the Saturday’s elections.
While making case for Okowa and his deputy, Otuaro, in his words: “This administration has built strong economic ties even with little in its disposal and the pervading challenges it experienced during the days of Niger Delta Avengers that nearly plunged the Nigerian economy on red alert.
“The gubernatorial polls to us is about integrity and capacity, and Gov. Okowa has proven his worth, therefore, this Saturday’s governorship election, is about voting for a man that has done so much for Deltans, we need need Ekwueme, the road master to continue his developmental strides in our riverine Ijaw communities in Delta.
”Governor Okowa and his deputy, Otuaro have truly put in place shining developmental legacies that will be difficult for any other governor to defeat in Delta State beyond 2023 as 2019 will be a walk over for Okowa and other PDP candidates in the state.
“The choices before us is that of progress and retrogression and i trust Deltans that Governor Okowa and his deputy are representations of progress, we will never trade them for anything, we will reciprocate by voting for them as a symbol of appreciation for developing our communities and more that will come after his election”. Engr. Kingsley asserted
However, the Special Assistant had particularly appreciated the Governor and his deputy for transforming many Ijaw communities in Delta state into mini cities, stressing that Burutu is totally for the PDP and the people can’t wait to deliver the party during the elections come Saturday.
Meanwhile, it would be recalled that in his bid to contribute his quota for the re-election bid of the governor, Engr. Kingsley had been in the creeks of Burutu for days now, holding meetings with various community authorities in Burutu Local Government Area to deliver total and bloc votes for Okowa and other PDP candidates in the local government council.
