Ijaw Youth leaders, Barr. Pereotubo Oweilaemi, former President of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide and Amb. (Dr) Anthony Ebitonmo Alapala, alias Odumalagba has joined the league of world leaders in congratulating president and vice president elect in the United States of America (USA) Joe Biden and Kampala Harris on their 2020 Presidential victory.
Oweilaemi and Odumalagba issued the congratulatory message via a statement made available to newsmen in Warri yesterday, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers.
While congratulating Biden and his deputy Harris, the duo had noted that their victory is important to the stability of the World, describing the voting pattern as a demonstration of the people’s love towards the candidacy of Joe and Kampala.
The statement further expressed optimism that the emergence of Biden and his deputy Harris will also portend a stronger democratic practice in Nigeria, stressing that many lessons have been learnt from the just concluded US presidential election, stressing that their emergence should turn things around in the world for the better.
“It is our sincere hope that President-Elect Biden’s tenure of office will be marked by the delivery of unity, security, progress and prosperity to all Americans. We are hopeful that, over the course of his presidency, relations between Nigeria, Africa and the United States of America will continue to grow from strength to strength, relations which have, over the years, been based on a shared agenda of freedom, development, progress and prosperity.
“it took Biden and Kamala sheer grit and determination to chalk such a victory as the President-Elect of the United States of America.Your election as President and deputy president of the United States of America gives us the opportunity to express to Your Excellencies, our warm congratulations, wishing you good health and full success in your mission, to the friendly American people for further progress and prosperity” Oweilaemi and Odumalagba asserted.
