According to reports reaching the news desk of The Liberator Newspaper, the Nigeria Air force has airlifted sensitive materials to Burutu, headquarters of the Local Government Area in Delta State ahead of the presidential and National Assembly elections scheduled to hold tomorrow.
Conforming the development to The Liberator Newspaper, Comr. Gilbert Ekemiafa, former youth president and opinion leader of Burutu community had hinted our reporter that the sensitive materials where airlifted to Burutu at about 8: 13Am.
Our source had also maintained that the materials where escorted to Burutu by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO of Burutu Local Government Area; The Electoral Officer, EO for Burutu Local Government Council were on the aeroplane that brought the sensitive materials.
Addressing members of the community and electorates who filed out in their numbers to welcome the officials, the EO had noted that it is a continuous process, stressing that the aeroplane will continue to bring the materials until all materials meant for Burutu is exhausted.
Meanwhile, it would be recalled that the plane landed at the temporary site of the Delta State School of Marine Technology, DESOMATECH Burutu.
