Operemor INC Chairman Brisibe Appreciate Organisers On Yearly Remembrance Of King Ebizimor

The Chairman Ijaw National Congress (INC), Operemor Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Fred Brisibe has appreciated organizers of the late King Robert Ebizimor’ s yearly remembrance event.


The Operemor Kingdom INC Chairman, Hon. Fred Brisibe made the commendation via a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen in Warri yesterday, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.

CELEBRATION OF LATE KING ROBERT EBIZIMOR DAY

The Chairman of the Ijaw National Congress, INC Operemor Clan of Delta State, Hon. Fred Brisibe encourages the people of the Operemor kingdom to embrace the annual remembrance ceremony of King Robert Ebizimor and urges that they show their love and respect for him by massively attending this year’s event which comes up on Sunday, July 31, 2022, in Bayelsa.

The chairman appreciates the groups that have put on their heads this task to yearly honour the music doyen who brought all aspects of the Ijaw socio-cultural life into music. He commends the initiative and pledges to contribute to its advancement In subsequent years.

The Operemor people, according to him, are the second primary owners of King Robert Ebizimor. The reason Is because the late music king’s mother is an Operemor indigene from the Okodizimor family unit in Ojobo. Madam Ziwuru, his mother was Pa. Adamagu Zipude’s daughter.

The chairman also appeals to the National President of INC, Prof. Benjamin Ogele Okaba to recognise this event and make it to be a part of the cultural calendar of the Ijaw nation. To him, King Robert Ebizimor fought for the emancipation of the Ijaw people with his music the same way Isaac Adaka Boro fought with his gun, the same way J.P. Clark fought with his literary pen, the same way Tompolo is doing, the same way all the genuine social crusaders are doing currently to bring the Ijaw nation to the limelight.

Finally, Brisibe says that “the Ijaw nation should take advantage of occasions like this to celebrate and promote our rich culture, enlighten ourselves, take strategic decisions on the way forward for our people”.
