It is my pleasure as the Chairman of the planning committee to extend an invitation to former students of the illustrious Burutu Grammar School (B.G.S.B), which was established more than half a century ago, to come to Burutu Town, which is the seat of power in Burutu local government and is also known as “The Island of no Regret.”

I extend this invitation with pride and joy and on behalf of the Burutu Grammar School Old Student Association. On the 28th through the 30th of October in 2022, we will be celebrating our Golden Jubilee, The event will feature many activities like the Unveiling and Commissioning of the schools signpost, Presentation of 10 Portable White Boards, Anniversary Public Lecture and  Drama by a renowned international literary icon,  Prof. Benedict Binebai, orator Niger Delta University, Amassoma, Bayelsa State.

There is also going to be a  novelty football match, Health seminar and finally with a Gala and Award night at Warri.

The Old Students Association was established fully and exclusively for the purpose of assisting our former / current  students and, by extension, the institution itself in achieving their goals.

It is also a great way to bring alumni back to the school as this occasion is much more than just a friendly meet up or reunion, it has the potential to bring great rewards for our alma mater as we share some special bonding and have a sense of responsibility. We believed that the alumni is the reflection of its past, the representation of its present, and the link to its future. Because the state of the world continues to worsen with each passing day.

We get busy with our families and work, and all of a sudden, we’ve lost connection with those who aren’t a part of that small circle. This is a wonderful opportunity therefore for us to get back in touch with our old friends and classmates.

The family of former students and teachers of Burutu Grammar School is very large. Right now in practically every region of our nation, we are succeeding in the line of work that we have chosen.

This is a school that a number of remarkable men and women who are currently making waves in our nation in their chosen careers attended when they were younger. It is a great joy to be alive to a part of this Historic Big Reunion
Thank you everyone, enjoy the GetTogether.
With warmest regard,

Anthonia Oguah,Chairman, Planining Committee
