2023: Tekedor Consults Ayiri Over Ambition To Contest Warri South West Assembly Seat

As 2023 political dispensation draws closer, political permutations have begun with political actors making alignments ahead of party primaries and what have you. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

In view of this, the campaign team of Amb. Clement Tekedor on Wednesday 27th of April 2022 consulted high Chief Ayiri Emami, the Ologbosere of Itsekiri nation in Warri ahead of the All Progressive Congress (APC) primaries. 

Amb. Clement Tekedor who is vying for the Warri South West House of Assembly position in Delta State is contesting under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

However, the consultation team was led by a prominent APC Chieftain in Delta State, Chief David Omare.

Speaking during the consultation visit to Chief Ayiri Emami, one of Delta State most influential APC leader, Amb. Clement Tekedor had stated that the visit was to consult Ayiri over his ambition to contest the Warri South West House of Assembly office via the APC. 

Amb. Tekedor maintained that he recognizes Chief Ayiri as a critical stakeholder and leader in APC, hence he is consulting him to get his blessings to contest the office, promising that if given the opportunity at the primaries and he eventually wins in the general election, he will continue to consolidate on the  existing relationship between the Ijaws and Itsekiris.

Tekedor continued that if given the chance, he will address core issues affecting the local government, stressing that the Ijaws and Itsekiris are facing similar challenges, stating that what belongs to the two tribes will be given to them accordingly, maintaining that there is a reason why the Lord Almighty placed the Ijaws and Itsekiris in same Local Government. 

In his response, Chief Ayiri Emami appreciated Amb. Clement Tekedor and his campaign consultation team for identifying with him as a leader in  APC, adding that the Ijaws and Itsekiris are one.

Ayiri while giving his blessings to Amb. Clement to contest the Warri South West House of Assembly office had revealed that while in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he was one of those that was instrumental in the sharing of the Warri South West Local Government Chairmanship to enable peace reign among the both tribes. 

Ayiri asserted that the Ijaws and Itsekiris will continue to be one.
