A group operating under the aegis of Niger Delta Unstoppable Force has thrown their weight behind Hon. Julius Pondi, member representing Burutu Federal Constituency on his struggle to retain the position come 2023.

The group had called on delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State to reconsider the choice of Pondi for the house of reps position in the local government.

This was contained in a statement personally signed by Comr. Tarede Ebiarede, Chairman of the Niger Delta Grassroot Unstoppable Force (NDGUF), a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide yesterday.

They noted that the legislative performance of Hon. Julius Pondi, member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the house of representatives has been overwhelming over the years, stressing that the people of Burutu Local Government should be wise enough to vote massively for Pondi to continue the progress.

Comr. Tarede maintained that Pondi has delivered in carrying out his primary assignment as a legislator by raising motions, sponsoring bills for his people, originating petitions in defence of his people and what have you.

He continued that the House of representatives member have also done well in carrying out his oversight functions by training constituents, infrastructural development and influencing of political appointments to the people of Burutu Federal Constituency as well as facilitating employment to his constituents.

In a similar manner, the Niger Delta Unstoppable Force had also endorsed Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta, member representing Burutu North in the Delta State House of Assembly for serving the people well in just one legislative outing.

The group asserted  that Hon. Asupa remains the best man for the Burutu North House of Assembly race, adding that the lawmaker remains the only solution at the moment.

However, the statement had expressed optimism that the re-election of Asupa will mean more development, political empowerment and progressive leadership in Burutu North.
