Egbema Youth Council congratulates Hon. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas on his well deserved victory at the polls, in a statement jointly signed by Comrade City Kelvin Eferusuoa president EYC Comrade Governor Ekpokeme general secretary EYC, and comrade Michael Ejemi public relations officer EYC.

The president General of EYC appeal that Egbema communities such as Opuama, Polobubou, Ogbinbiri, Ogbudugbudu, and Asigborodor ward areas are under-developed.

They advocated for the canalization of the Polobubou creek, adding that it is a project they are all crying to be executed.

“Construction of bridges to connect Egbema communities, construction of jetty, building dilapidated schools, health care and lots more are much expected.” The group said.

“Egbema people massively supported the APC, the results are evidently shown by the INEC, we want light, employment, and training of our Youths in various vocational centers to acquire knowledge, and skills to settle them in the society.”

Comrade governor Ekpokeme secretary General says; Hon. Joel-Onowakpa Thomas winning the Delta South Senatorial seat is a divine call, this will help to avoid protest by the youths who in their numbers voted for the APC.

The secretary General also unequivocally stated that the apex youth organization is drawing the attention of Hon. Joel-Onowakpa to work for the growth and development of the Egbema Kingdom in Delta since Egbema sons massively supported him on the polls.

Similarly, Comrade Michael Ejemi stated that Hon. Joel-Onowakpa Thomas leadership will go a long way in repositioning the Delta South constituency and taking it to the next level of optimal performance in Delta state.

The apex youth organization in Egbema Kingdom, one of the major oil producing areas in Delta state strongly believe that with Thomas at the helm of affairs, Delta South Egbema Kingdom will be on the project table.

The group had decried government neglect and marginalisation by the past senators over the years.

“However, we hope to work together with Hon. Thomas to achieve the desired level of peace in the region which will create room for the continuous flow of oil and gas into the state government coffers.

“Once again we say congratulations on your well deserved victory as the senator-elect and we look forward to working with you in no distant future.God bless you.”
