A ranking Chief in Iduwini Kingdom both in Delta and Bayelsa States, High Chief (Amb) Dr Capt. Paul Ogoun Mandela has added his voice to that of others in congratulating Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, member representing Burutu Federal Constituency, House of Representatives, Amb. Dr. Comr. Anthony Ebitonmo Alapala, member elect, Burutu North, Delta State House of Assembly and others on their electoral victories.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement he personally signed in Lagos yesterday, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.
However, the highly revered Chief in Iduwini Kingdom had stated that he is particularly happy about the duo of Pondi and Alapala, stressing that it is exciting to see youths occupying such positions.
Nevertheless, Chief Ogoun had called on critical stakeholders of Burutu North and the entire local government area to give their support to Alapala for him to succeed.
According to him, election should not be a do or die affair, stressing that power belongs to the Lord Almighty.
Speaking further, Chief Ogoun added that he is optimistic that with the track records of Amb. Dr. Anthony Alapala Ebitonmo over the years, he is confident that he will do well in his new political office.
While wishing Pondi and Alapala to succeed in their various positions, he asserted that they must at all times address the age long developmental yearnings of the Local Government, stressing that much needed to be done.
Paul Ogoun is the holder of “Agura ” chieftaincy title in both Iduwini Delta and Bayelsa States.
