Former aspirant, Warri South West local government Area, Delta State House of Assembly under the All Progressive Congress (APC), Comr. Akpodubakaye Gbaboyor Jude, has extolled and celebrated one of the respected Niger Delta freedom fighter, Sir. Victor Ebikabowei Ben, popularly known as Gen. Boyloaf on his birth anniversary.

Comr. Jude Akpodubakaye particularly described the former Niger Delta warlord as the pride of Ijaw nation, stressing that Gen. Boyloaf deserved to be celebrated over and over again as a man that has paid his dues for the emancipation of Niger Delta and Ijaw nation.

The Niger Delta Youth Leader issued the birth anniversary message to newsmen in Abuja earlier today, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.

According to him, Gen. Boyloaf whom he described as his master consciously went into the Niger Delta struggle with the intention to liberate the Ijaws and the region at large by putting his life on the line.

He continued that Boyloaf fought the Federal Government of Nigeria together with others in the region until what is today known as the Niger Delta Amnesty Programme was established to take care of the agitating Niger Deltans, development of the region and what have you.

Akpodubakaye maintained that Gen. Boyloaf was one of the first notable former warlords in the region that first accepted the Amnesty deal with the Federal Government, stressing that since the peace deal with the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2009, the dreadful leader has become a peace ambassador in ensuring that peace is always sustained against all odds.

Activist Gbaboyor acknowledged Boyloaf as a strong force to reckon with in the history of Niger-Delta due to his selfless sacrifices, struggles and agitations for the emancipation and development of the region and its people, praying that the Lord Almighty shall continue to guide, protect and endear him with long life and prosperity.

However, The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide learnt that during the militancy days, Comr. Jude Gbaboyor Akpodubakaye was the secretary general to Gen. Boyloaf and his massive militant empire before accepting the Amnesty Programme back then in 2009.

Meanwhile, as today marks the birth anniversary of the Niger Delta leader, Akpodubakaye said he cannot keep quiet without adding his voice to celebrate his master in the struggle.
