United Nations (UN) Peace Ambassador, Amb. Humphrey Oluku has described the generalissimo of the Niger Delta struggle for emancipation, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo as an enigma. 

The revered Niger Delta youth leader made the assertion yesterday in Warri while celebrating Tompolo on his 50th birth anniversary via a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide. 

The global peace advocate cum renowned Nigerian based philanthropist had particularly stated that the Ijaw people and Niger Deltans are lucky to have Tompolo from the Ijaw ethnic nationality and the Niger Delta region at large. 

Amb. Oluku had also called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to release all seized properties of Tompolo, stressing that making genuine peace with Tompolo remains the best deal for a more economically viable Nigeria. 

Speaking further, the UN Peace Ambassador while praying for Tompolo had prayed to the Lord Almighty to continue to guard and protect him, long life and prosperity for him to achieve his heart desires in life.

Meanwhile, in expressing joy on Tompolo’s birth anniversary, Humphrey stated that Tompolo’s struggles have brought appreciable level of development to the Niger Delta region, maintaining that he is a consistent, strong and irrepressible force to reckon with in the country. 

He also  enjoined all leaders in the Niger Delta  to synergize with  Tompolo, to make the region a better and enviable place that will attract investment opportunities for the teeming youths to be gainfully engaged.
