6th Anniversary:  Former IYC President Oweilaemi Lauds Okowa On Developmental Strides

A highly revered and respected leader in Ijaw, Barr. Roland Pereotubo Oweilaemi, former president of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide has lauded His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State on his developmental strides across the state. 

Barr. Oweilaemi made the commendation on Saturday in Warri via a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide. 

The former IYC President made the statement while reacting to the Delta State 2021 praise and thanksgiving day in commemoration of the 6th anniversary of the Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa administration.

The revered Niger Delta youth leader cum advocate of good governance noted that he has many reasons to thank and appreciates Governor Okowa for his developmental strides across Delta State. 

However, while describing the Governor as a working and detribalized leader, Barr. Oweilaemi had expressed optimism that he has no iota of doubt in him that the Governor will always continue to contribute towards the development of Delta Ijaw riverine communities. 

In appreciating the Governor for mobilising contractors handling the Torugbene road project, Oweilaemi said Okowa is indeed a listening Governor and a true man of the people.

Speaking further, Barr. Pereotubo Oweilaemi had also appealed to the Governor to see what can urgently be done for the approval of the Torugbene-Ojobo road, stressing that such road if approved and executed will be very key in the lives of the people.

He also urged the Governor to ensure that before the end of his administration, he should complete the Ayakoromo bridge in Ngbilebiri Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, adding that the road has lots of economic value to the people. 

Nevertheless, Oweilaemi maintained that his doors are open in supporting the Governor whenever the need arises, praying that the Lord Almighty shall continue to increase and protect the Governor throughout his administration and beyond.
