Public Relations Officer, PRO of the revered Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council, OKYC, Comr. Moses Agbobulagha has broken his silence as he condemns in strong terms the poisonous chemicals sprankled into the rivers of Ogulagha Kingdom.
The Public Relations Officer, PRO issued the condemnation message via a statement made available to newsmen, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper yesterday.
He noted that if SPDC do not stop whatever chemicals that are spreading in the river owing to calls from the different communities in the Kingdom demanding explanations, then as a youth leader he will mobilise fully to ensure that SPDC does not take his people for granted.
Speaking further, Comr. Moses stated that fishing remains the only visible source of livelihood to the people and the massive killing of the aquatic bodies by the deadly chemical sprankled by SPDC keeps members of the communities wondering on the strange happenings.
He said fishes are dying and floating massively, stressing that fishing is what most parents use in training their children to schools, adding that he will not seat down and watch while SPDC destroy their source of livelihood.
However, Comr. Moses had accused SPDC of not treating the people of Ogulagha well despite the huge crude oil production emanating from the Kingdom via Forcados Terminal in Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State.
He regretted that despite the many years of oil exploration in the Kingdom, the people of Ogulagha can hardly boast of any SPDC staff, other than contract staffs as all the sensitive positions are being occupied by outsiders

from the region.

In taking a swipe further on SPDC, Comr. Agbobulagha maintained that there are already signs that the sea god of the Ogulagha people, Imalokun is getting angry with happenings in the sea, precipitated by the Shell Petroleum Development Company.

He had warned SPDC to discontinue whatever they are doing with the said dangerous chemicals.
