Agediga Condoles With Binebai Family, Says Late Patriarch Was An Icon

Executive Director (ED), Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS), Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Amb. Dr. Comr. Shedrack Agediga has sympathized with the Binebai family over the demise of their patriarch, Chief Tom Michael Binebai (JP). The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

Amb. Dr. Shedrack Agediga described late Chief Binebai as an icon, stressing that Ijaw nation have lost a great leader.

The DESOPADEC Executive Director of Planning, Research and Statistics made the assertion in Warri recently  at his guest house during a visit by the Chief Tom Michael Binebai Burial Finance Committee led by its Chairman, Hon. Adidi Preboye, Special Assistant (SA) to the Governor of Delta State on political matters. 

Agediga particularly assured the Binebai family that he will provide 500k to assist the family as his personal contribution in giving the late patriarch a befitting burial at Burutu town come April 2nd 2022, assuring the family that he will personally be on ground to grace the burial ceremony.

However, shortly after the visit, Agediga also took out his time to release a special condolence message to the family. 

The condolence message reads in part: “It is with great pain in my heart to hear about the demise of a great leader, Chief Tom Michael Binebai (JP).

“Indeed the death of a leader and father is something that can never be recovered.  Papa has always been an essential part of the family, community and Ijaw nation, he accomplished many good things and he worked hard and followed the part of integrity and honesty. 

“Today, we celebrate his legacy and we are not mourning because papa was a rare gem. God has a beautiful reward for him. He brought the power of his presence, his compassion and his position to some of the most vital humanitarian issues of our time. We loved and admired his leadership strength as a pioneer commissioner on the board of DESOPADEC representing the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality and during his time, he contributed positively to the development of Ijaw nation, indeed we have lost an icon. He was an exceptional leader and father.” Agediga stated. 

Meanwhile, responding on behalf of the Finance Committee, Comr. Adidi Preboye appreciated Dr. Agediga for his huge contribution in the burial, stressing that the family will continue to be indebted to him.

Hon. Preboye particularly lauded Agediga for his humanitarian services in the society, praying that the Lord Almighty shall continue to guide, protect and will surely increase him financially.
