A frontline Niger Delta born humanitarian cum advocate of good governance in Africa, Amb. John Dekawei has congratulated High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo on his 49th birth anniversary.

Amb. Dekawei, chairman of the John Dekawei Foundation, a foundation he has used in transforming the lives of many across the country, particularly described Tompolo as a reincarnation of Ijaw ancient deities, adding that because Tompolo represents the Gods, he will continue to be indestructible no matter the travails he may experienced in the struggle for a better Niger Delta.
The Niger Delta philanthropist made the assertion earlier today via a statement issued to newsmen in Abuja, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper, personally signed by him.
He maintained that men like Tompolo are rare in the present day Niger Delta struggle for a better deal, adding that the agitation of Ekpemupolo, the most dreaded and repented Niger Delta warlord has visibly brought some appreciable level of development to the Niger Delta region.
He stressed that Tompolo is a unique leader as his kind gestures have virtually touched almost some persons in all Niger Delta states across Nigeria.
In his words: “Tompolo is indeed a man with many positive colours, someone that is not a government but doing what most governments can’t do for her citizens, the people of Niger Delta will continue to owe him in high esteem for his penchant love for humanity.
“He has reawakened the consciousness of the Ijaws on the importance of reviving the Ijaw culture, language and its varying traditions.
“Tompolo is no doubt a symbol of unity, he spent virtually whatever he has for the liberation, unity and peacefulness of Ijaw nation and Nigeria in general, he is a true ambassador of peace. “
Speaking among other vital issues, Amb. Dekawei has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to make peace with Tompolo as he is a man of peace, adding that making peace with him has so many advantages.
Meanwhile, as an advocate of good governance, Amb. Dekawei is the national president general of a leading Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Delta Ijaw Youth Movement For Political Advancement, DIYMPA.
