A leader in Iduwini Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State, Amb. (Chief) Evans Etimigba, JP, welcomes the ward 11 unit to unit campaign team to Ofougbene today in Burutu local government Area.
Chief Evans, recipient of United Nations, UN POLAC award as world peace ambassador, in a press statement signed by him yesterday, said Ofougbene is agog over Hon. Julius Pondi’s visit and are anxiously waiting to receive a man that has brought so much transformation to the local government and the entire Niger Delta region.
Chief Etimigba who described Pondi, PDP candidate, Burutu federal constituency, house of representatives, Abuja as a model of good governance.
He said measures had been put in place to give the federal lawmaker a resounding welcome to his hometown today.
According to him, “Hon. Pondi has delivered on his major campaign promises he made to people of the constituency in 2015, and it’s only ideal to return such a visionary leader to consolidate on the developmental strides recorded under his watch in the past three years.”
Etimigba noted that Burutu Local Government has been fairly treated by the PDP led government, and should vote for PDP massively in the coming election in appreciation of the government’s efforts in changing the area.
“We in Burutu Local Government have not had it so good before now, we didn’t have such treatment, look at the Maritime University, road projects in our local government and Burutu has become a constituency to reckon with in the house of representatives “.
He therefore, called on citizens of Burutu not to be deceived with their votes, as this is not the time to play the ostrich.
