Amnesty Contractors Trains, Empowers Ex-Agitators In Bayelsa With Fish Farming Materials

Reputable contractors in the Niger Delta Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) has trained and  empowered delegates of the programme with modern fish farming materials to start independent fish ponds. 

The training and empowerment of delegates was done by Lee-Dev Consult Ltd in conjunction with Yerinpress global Resource at Ezetu Community earlier today in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. 

A total of 27 delegates in the Presidential Amnesty Programme was trained and empowered on cluster fish farming in the Niger Delta region. 

Some of the items given to the Niger Delta Ex-agitators for the empowerment to own modern fish ponds include Water storage tanks, pumping machines, shovels, head pans, tables, generators, rain boots, curvrol, business names duely registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria, fish feeds, tapolin ponds, wheelbarrows  with the host of other materials. 

However, it would be recalled that while Mr. Tuerede Ben Victor is the Managing Director of the Lee-Dev Consult Ltd, Comr. Friday Iyorakpo is the Managing Director of Yerinpress global Resource that collaborated to train and empower the Niger Delta youths on fish farming. 

In an interview with The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide, Comr. Friday Iyorakpo, MD Yerinpress global Resource had appreciated PAP’s Interim Administrator, Col. Milland Dixon Dikio (rtd) for his initiatives in moving the programme forward, stressing that Dikio deserves commendation. 

Comr. Friday Iyorakpo noted that the Amnesty boss is repositioning the programme for the better, stressing that he respects the decision of Dikio not to award new contracts but rather focused on the payment of already awarded contracts from previous administrations.

When asked if Dikio has started paying contractors, Iyorakpo stated that the Amnesty boss have started paying contractors that where awarded contracts from previous administrations. 

Speaking further, Comr. Friday asserted that the contract Lee-Dev Consult Ltd and Yerinpress global Resource is executing today was awarded since 2018 by a previous administration without payment. 

Some of the delegates who spoke with The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide shortly after the  straining and empowerment programme  commended Dikio and the contractors for the training and empowerment packages, stressing that they will make judicious use of the packages to become independent fish farmers with modern fish ponds.
