There seems to be more trouble rocking the embattled Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Program, Prof. Charles Dokubo as Creek Dragons, a coalition of former militant leaders in the region perfect’s plans to embark on a protest tagged “Dokubo must go”.

Creek Dragons made the revelation earlier today via a statement personally signed by self styled Gen Freedom Adowei, national president of the group and circulated to newsmen in Yenagoa, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.

The statement maintained that the group had earlier notified members of the general public about its perceived planned protest against what it described as urgent replacement of the current serving boss in the amnesty office, Prof. Charles Dokubo.

Creek Dragons noted that it finally arrive at the September 21st date for the protest after due consultation with its members and critical stakeholders in the Niger Delta Region before announcing the date.

Gen. Adowei noted that Creek Dragons, a coalition of former militants comprises of members from all states constituting the Niger Delta Region with that are in the amnesty program.

According to the leader of Creek Dragons, the visionless pattern of leadership in the amnesty office under the watch of Dokubo is a situation that can no longer be overlooked.

They have noted that it is now the turn of Delta State to produce the next amnesty boss, stressing that despite the role played by Delta based Ijaws in the actualization of the amnesty office, they are yet to occupy the highest office in the program after playing the leading role.

They have argued that for the sake of fairness and equity, an Ijaw from Delta who understands the plight of the people must occupy the office for a more productive administration.

While giving a breakdown of the planned massive protest, Adowei said “Prof. Dokubo Charles will receive the shocker of his life, we have mobilized our people, busses and all logistic arrangements have all been put in place with our members from all the states in the region to storm Abuja on Saturday the 21st of September 2019 for the immediate replacement of Dokubo, he has failed us woefully.

“It Is very sad that the program has lost direction under Dokubo, this is a program we fought for, many also lost their lives in the process and now those of us that fought for its realization is yet to benefit from it, Prof. Is really alien to the core objective of the program.

“We are not joking with this protest, we have been receiving lots of calls from different interested persons around the Niger Delta Region have also expressed readiness to join the protest.”

The group had noted that for security reasons, it would not divulge its meeting point to the general public while giving strict directives to their member to keep in secret its meeting point.

Creek Dragons had also stated that they are aware of those behind sponsored attacks on Ijaw foremost leader, High Chief Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo.

It has described the media attack as the highest height of disrespect, adding that Tompolo should not be dragged into the murky political waters in the country with a warning of those involved in such act to desist.
