Aspire Global Conference: Discover Your Talents, Add Value To Society, Otuaro Charges Youths
Deputy Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Barr. (Dcn) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro have urged youths in Nigeria, particularly in Delta State to discover their talents in adding value to society. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.
The Deputy Governor made the remark while delivering a key note address in a one day youths seminar in Warri, Delta state organized by Aspire global conference team, ‘ a youths capacity building organization at the Mom Civic Centre, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
He advised Nigerian youths to always diacover their talents and add value in the society by commercializing their God given talents to solve societal problems through wealth creation by reducing poverty and crime rate in the country.
He said “You need to discover your talents and commercialize these talents to add value in the society. You must accept responsibilities and brace up for the task to becoming a society problem solver. God gave everyone a potential and your ability to discover your potential and commercialize to solve problems makes you different and recognised in your environment and beyond”
He further tasked youths to always aspire to be good citizens by honouring the dignity of labour to inspire others as role models, instead of engaging into crime by adding more problems in the society.
Otuaro went on memory lane on how as a growing youth from the creeks of Niger Delta by facing a harsh environment with hard economic challenges. He said despite all the odds, he has been maintaining a good leadership track record from the student days as both student/community leader which had taken him to an enviable position as deputy governor of Delta state.
The deputy governor, however commended the organizers of the youths capacity building conference by complementing the state government’s effort of the various youths empowerment programmes carried out by his Excellency Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to reduce joblessness, poverty and also reducing the high crime rate by youths as many have been taken off from the streets. Noting that through the state government youths capacity training programmes, many youths in Delta state are now employers of labour.
He assured the organizer on behalf of his boss, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa of governrmt support to allow the group sustain their good vision as they are complementing government activities.
