Bayelsa Guber: Lyon clears medical bills of patients at Glory Land hospital

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Standard flag bearer in the Nov 16 gubernatorial election in Bayelsa State Chief David Lyon has always been in the news for the good reason since his emergence.
This time, the politician cum philanthropist has put smiles on the face of patients at Glory Land hospital by taking over their medical bills.
The Bayelsa State guber hopful had visited the hospital to see a friend who was involved in accident but on getting to the hospital and seeing the patients, he was moved with compassion and announced to pay the bills for all patients on admission in the hospital.
A Facebook user who broke the news said ” the ordinary man comes first in the next APC government in Bayelsa State.”
Lyon became the APC candidate for the governorship election after defeating other aspirants in a keenly contested primaries.
Many Bayelsyans have described his emergence as governorship candidate on the platform of the APC as an answer to the prayers of the common man
