Boumiebi Appreciates Okowa For Appointing Agas As Chief Of Staff Government House Asaba
The Ogungbeinwei/ Kariwei of Ogulagha and Obotebe kingdoms in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State who doubles as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State, Amb. Chief Francis Boumiebi (JP) has lauded his boss Okowa for appointing Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas as the new chief of staff, Government House, Asaba.
The SSA issued the congratulatory message to newsmen in Warri earlier today via a statement he personally signed, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.
The prominent and revered Niger Delta chief particularly noted that he has so much respect for his boss His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for always making the right choices for appointment.
He noted that at this point in time, Agas political pedigree in the state and his active role in the Okowa’s six years administration coupled with his political antecedents over the years in the state stands him out as the best man for the job.
Amb. Francis maintained that he has the confidence that Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas will bring in his wealth of experience to function in this new capacity, stressing that he has always delivered and will continue to deliver.
The statement had also prayed to the Lord Almighty to continue to give Agas more wisdom and unprecedented knowledge to pilot the affairs of this new office to the promised land, adding that he is proud of him for his political journey in the state so far.
It would be recalled that the Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, Wednesday, appointed Mr Festus Ovie Agas as Chief of Staff, Government House.
Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Chief Patrick Ukah, in a statement, said; “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public, particularly Deltans, that His Excellency, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has approved the appointment of Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas as Chief of Staff, Government House.
“The date for the inauguration of the Chief of Staff will be announced in due course.”
Mr Festus Agas who was one-time Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, served as Secretary to the State Government, SSG in the first tenure of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa from 2015 to 2019.
He was appointed as Chief Strategist in the second tenure by the Governor, a position he held until Dr Ifeanyi Okowa dissolved his full cabinet about three weeks ago.
Amb. Chief Francis Boumiebi is a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in ward 11, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.
