According to reports reaching the news desk of The Liberator Newspaper indicates that the stakeholders meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State ended in fiasco following a sharp disagreement among the various stakeholders.
According to a source who hinted The Liberator Newspaper on the development but would not want his name to be mentioned in print noted that the disagreement among the stakeholders was occasioned by interests and the inability to accommodate the various views of other stakeholders.
However, the source further noted that there was no closing prayer nor other closing remarks which is usually the tradition of every other meeting of such magnitude.
He maintained that the meeting ended in deadlock as there was no unanimous agreement in the meeting as a certain group in the meeting tries to impose their decision to others which was allegedly greeted with stiff opposition which led to the meeting ending without taking any unanimous position.
In his words: “Let It be known by the great leaders of our dear party in the state and beyond that the Burutu Local Government Area Peoples Democratic Party, PDP meeting that was held today in Burutu community, headquarters of the Local Government Area ended inclusive.
“We did not reach any agreement, the public should be aware of this development. We are also aware that some group of persons are trying to say that we were able to reach an agreement and a position was taken during the meeting which of course there was nothing of such, we will continue to monitor any strange move to report otherwise “
This is a developing story, more details later………….
