BREAKING: Ejele Declares Interest For Senate As Takeme Promises Free, Fair, Credible PDP Primaries

The Okere portion of Warri in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State was earlier today agog with multitude of people causing gridlock for road users as Hon. Prince (Dr) Michael Diden, alias Ejele, also known as Aguba 1 of the universe who is the current Chairman of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) as he officially declared his intention to contest the Delta South Senatorial seat ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primaries in the state. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

Hon. Dr. Michael Diden while declaring his intention to run for the Delta South Senatorial seat had assured the people of Delta South that come 2023 upward, the senatorial district will experience more development if given the chance to represent the senatorial district in the red chamber.

The declaration was made earlier today at the Delta South Senatorial Office at Okere in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State amidst officials of the party in the senatorial district, local government party chairmen and state leaders of the party from the senatorial district. 

Deden had appealed to the Delta South Senatorial District PDP Exco and other leaders of the party in the meeting to consider him as candidate for the party ahead of the 2023 elections, stressing that if given the chance he will not dissapoint them and the entire people of Delta South in the red chamber.

However, on his part, Chairman of the Delta South Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief (Dr) Julius Takeme (JP) had stated that the party under his watch in the senatorial district will ensure that free, fair and credible primaries will be conducted for all aspirants vying for different offices in the party ahead of the 2023 general elections. 

According to him, the party will set up mechanisms in place to see that a level playing ground is provided for all contestants, maintaining that the party will continue to act as an unbiased umpire. 

Governor Okowa is indeed a pillar of democracy in Nigeria – Takeme

Speaking further, Dr. Julius Takeme, PDP Chairman of the Delta South Senatorial District had described His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State as a pillar of democracy in Delta State and Nigeria at large. 

He maintained that despites the economic, social and political hurdles Okowa encountered, he has professionally managed and dealt with the issues, adding that the Delta State PDP remains unshakable and has become one of the strongest in the whole of Nigeria. 

Takeme reiterated that the strongness of the PDP in Delta State is attributed to His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, stressing that the Governor is personally taking it upon himself to see that party officials are well taken care of. 

He continued that 2023 will be very simple for the PDP to continue its dominance in the state as the Governor has been developing all nook and cranny of the state, stating that his uncommon transformational leadership, empowerment of youths, the gild child, the elderly and many more will speak for the party. 

He particularly prayed that the Lord Almighty shall  grant His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State his heart desires in life, maintaining that he is proud of him and his shining legacies in the state. 

“Governor Okowa has demonstrated that he is no doubt one of the finest PDP Governor in Nigeria, the entire state is smiling and shining owing to his expertise in leadership. ” Dr. Takeme stated. 

Meanwhile, it would be recalled that Hon. Smart Asekutu, Chairman Warri North Local Government Council, Dr. Michael Tidin, Chairman Warri South Local Government Coucil, Hon. Augustine Oroye (JP), member representing Warri South 1, Delta State House of Assembly and others too numerous to mention were on the entourage to accompany Ejele for the declaration earlier today.
