BREAKING: Guwor breaks record, wins Warri South West Assembly election in Delta

There seems to be great jubilation among supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Warri South West, Delta State as Mr. Dennis Emomotimi Guwor has been declared winner to represent the constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The declaration was made today at Ogbe-Ijoh, headquarters of the Local Government Council this evening by the Warri South West constituency returning officer.

The Liberator can report that Guwor of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP crumbled his All Progressives Congress, APC opponent with 131,469 votes against candidate of the APC that scored 13,267 votes.

Meanwhile, addressing the press shortly after the announcement, the Delta State House of Assembly member elect, Warri South West had described his victory as a victory for democracy and that of more progress for the People of Warri South West.

He had noted that he will continue to be hugely  indebted to the Itsekiris and that of the Ijaws constituting the constituency.

It would be recalled that the emergence of Guwor as the Warri South West House of Assembly member elect, would be the first time since the creation of the state for an Ijaw man to represent the constituency.
