According to reports reaching the news desk of The Liberator Newspaper indicates that the Joint Host Communities Forum in Odidi and Batan Flow Stations, OML 42,  Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State have reportedly shutdown the flow stations following the frosty relationship between host communities and companies operating in the area.

A source who would not want his name to be mentioned in print noted that OML 42 which is  operated by NPDC/NECONDE JV had treated host communities like slaves as the shutdown operation was a fulfilment of the 14 days ultimatum earlier issued to the company.

It would be recalled that leader of the area  Elder Chief S. Y. Mamamu had also issued a 24 hours ultimatum to Neconde over failure to give what belongs to the host communities and the payment of indigenous contractors.

However, the shutdown operations was carried out by Leaders of various Communities yesterday due to persistent  failure of agreement reached by the company and host communities cum indigenous contractors.

Some of the demands of the host communities include full payment of all monies owed by AMT, Neconde.

The communities also wants Neconde  and its subsidiaries to vacate the field, stressing that NPDC should take full operations as the communities says they cannot condone the  excessive alleged ill  treatments meted out on the host communities.

They had also called on the Federal Government of Nigeria and EFCC to investigate Dr, Ernest O. A. Chairman Obijackson group of companies for his shady deals in the field.

Meanwhile, our souce maintained that the shutdown of Jones Creek flow station is loading already.
