Breaking: INEC declares Pondi of PDP as winner, House of reps Burutu with 36, 582
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared Hon. Julius Pondi, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for House of Representatives, Burutu Federal Constituency, Delta State as the winner of the house of reps election conducted on Saturday 23rd 2019.
The news was greeted with endless jubilation from lovers of Pondi in Burutu federal constituency at the headquarters of the local government area.
The declaration was made at about 1: 8 Pm today at the INEC office in Burutu by the Burutu Federal Constituency, House of Representatives Returning Officer.
It would be recalled that there was a mild drama in Burutu as there was showers of rain immediately after the declaration of Pondi as the winner, a situation many have described as a sign from the heaven rejoicing with the house of reps member.
In what had been described as an unprecedented show of love from the people of oil rich Ogulagha Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area who had converged at Sokebolou, hometown of Hon. Pondi, the people could not hold back their joy as they filled out in a dance procession all for the landslide victory of Pondi as they march round the community with songs of victory.
As at the time of filling this report, there is a celebration galore currently ongoing at Sokebolou community with more constituents in Burutu Federal constituency still thronging the community for celebration.
