Youths of oil rich Ogulagha Community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State have reportedly shutdown Forcados Terminal over what they described as slavery from the Shell Petroleum Development Company.

This was made known to our reporter earlier today by the youth President of Ogulagha community, Comr. ThankGod Iyoragba, stressing that the main entrance to the Forcados Terminal has been blocked and locked, adding that no one can go into the Terminal nor come out.

The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report that the heavy protest is led by the Youth President of Ogulagha community, at the moment, after shutting down the Forcados Terminal, there is currently a dance procession among the Youths of Ogulagha community as they rangs bell across the town as more youths wokes up joining the protest.

The Liberator Newspapers can observe that the protest is gaining more momentum as the crowd is getting more and more overwhelming.

President Iyoragba had maintained that the Terminal will continue to remain locked until further notice and can only be allowed to operate when their demands are met.

Some of the reasons why the protest is being carried out include, the urgent reinstatement of community workers allegedly sacked by SPDC in 2020, urgent payment of outstanding salaries owed the said workers, lack of access to the management of Shell Petroleum Development Company by Ogulagha community Executives, deprivation of community workers while strangers are allowed to fly in to work in the guise of Covid-19 pandemic and other pressing issues.

This is a developing story, more details later………
