Secretary of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Rt. Hon. Frank Pukon have stated that Ijaw Nation have truly lost a great and strong man. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

The revered secretary of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide made the remark recently at Ughoton in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State in his condolence visit to the Binebai family. 

However, Rt. Hon. Frank Pukon stated that late Chief Tom Michael Binebai (JP), pioneer commissioner that represented the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality on the Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) was a father to all. 

According to him, late Chief T. M Binebai was a great historian and have mentored and impacted in the educational lives of many Niger Deltans that are now excelling in their different endeavours, stressing that he was a defender of the Ijaw ethnic nationality. 

Speaking further, he particularly enjoined the Binebai family to take heart as the entire Ijaw nation have indicated readiness to participate during the burial come April 2nd 2022 at Burutu Community, headquarters of the Local Government Council. 

Meanwhile, the IYC secretary also promised that he will be involved with commitments in ensuring that the late traditional Ijaw icon is given a befitting burial. 

He was accompanied by Comr. Lugard Izoukumor, information officer of Western Zone IYC and others. 

High point of the visit was the signing of the Chief T. M Binebai’s condolence register by Hon. Frank Pukon, secretary of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide.
