Church of God Mission to confer award of excellence on IPDI boss, Ozobo

Niger Delta right activist and President of Ijaw Peoples Development Initiative (IPDI), Comr. Ozobo Austin is set to bag a prestigious award in recognition of his numerous contributions to the body of Christ and the society at large.

The award will be conferred on him by the Church of God Mission International incorporated during the church’s forthcoming praise and award day in commemoration of Nigeria’s Independence.

According to the letter of invitation and notice of award signed by the trio of Evang. Layefa Thompson Enienghan, Dcn. Movie Ogiso and Sis. Racheal Odjigben, Chairman planning committee, Vice President and Secretary respectively, the choice of Ozobo was well thought out.

The letter also added that the event will take place on Tuesday 1st October at the church premises, Church of God mission, 11 lNuma Road, off Odibo street, Warri, Delta State.

According to the organisers ” the maiden edition of this year’s annual event promises to be a time of praise and prayers to God for our nation Nigeria and also a time set aside to recognize and appreciate selected men and women for their contributions to Gods kingdom and to the society in their own unique way. ”

It will be noted that Comr. Ozobo has remained one of the finest activist and advocate of peace, justice and equity both in the Niger Delta region and the Nigerian society at large.

This latest award by the church on Ozobo who many described as the voice of the voiceless has been applauded in many quarters haven served his people with all his heart in many areas.
