Former Chairman, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State and current Special Adviser to His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State, Hon. (Chief) Ebikeme Clark has sympathized with the Binebai family over the demise of their revered patriarch, describing his demise as a monumental loss to the entire Ijaw nation. In his speech during the condolence visit yesterday, Ebikeme maintained that he had to sympathise with the family as there are members of the Binebai family that are his friends, stressing that Chief T. M Binebai was a great historian and a respected leader in Burutu Local Government and Ijaw nation in general. Speaking further, Chief Clark particularly prayed to the Lord Almighty to grant the Binebai family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, stressing that it is God that giveth and also taketh. It would be recalled that Chief (Hon) Ebikeme Clark was accompanied by traditional and political leaders of Kiagbodo, Headquaters of ancient Ngbilebiri Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State on the condolence visit.In a swift response, the duo of Hon. Adidi Preboye, SA to the Governor of Delta State on political matters and Sir Frederick Christmas lauded Chief Ebikeme Clark and his entourage on the visit, stressing that the family will continue to owe them in high esteem. The duo asserted that late Chief Binebai and Chief Edwin Clark were friends, adding that the Binebai family deeply appreciate the visit, noting that the burial will take commence April 2nd 2022.On his part, Chief (Hon) Godwin Masah while speaking on the personality of Chief T. M Binebai has noted that Binebai has altered history, made history and has controlled time.He continued that those who were born and brought up in Burutu Community will have a lot to say about Chief T. M Binebai, stressing that the homily of Binebai cannot be exhausted in a single day.
