Coalition warns against plot to replace Brambaifa, Dokubo

National Coordinator of the Coalition of Niger Delta Voices, CNDV, Barr. Frank Ekpemupolo has warned against any plot from the presidency to replace the current Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC boss, Prof Nelson Brambaifa and the Coordinator, presidential amnesty programme and special adviser to the President on Niger Delta affairs, Prof. Charles Q. Dokubo.
The national Coordinator issued the warning yesterday via a press statement made available to newsmen in Warri, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper while reacting to state of the Niger Delta.
Barr. Ekpemupolo had particularly expressed confidence on the leadership of Prof. Dokubo and Prof. Nelson in handling the various offices, adding that the duo are men of capacity.
According to him, there are insinuations making round in Abuja that people within the presidency have started making moves to replace the aforementioned Niger Deltans by holding series of meetings to replace them.
Barr. Frank had declared that any attempt to do such will be resisted by all means necessary, adding that Dokubo and Brambaifa are doing well in their various offices even if they where to be changed it ought to be the decision of Niger Deltans.
He had continued that strangers to the Niger Delta struggle must never be brought to lead any of the aforementioned institutions, rather if Dokubo and Brambaifa were to be changed, it has to be other Ijaws that will be replacing them.

  1. It is a pity that the National Coordinator of the Coalition of Niger Delta Voices, CNDV, Barr. Frank Ekpemupolo who claimed to be fighting for the Niger Delta is a beneficiary of the outgoing acting NDDC boss, Prof Nelson Brambaifa, who is found apparently incompetent to handle the affairs of the Niger Delta Development Commission. Every Niger Deltan has the moral obligation to comment on whether Prof. Nelson should leave or continue in office, but Frank Ekpemupolo is cry foul without consulting we, the stakeholders of the Coalition of Niger Delta Voices because his cup of tea which he has been drinking from NDDC boss is at stake. Why is it that people like Ekpemupolo that is fighting for his pocket is claiming to be the voice of the Niger Delta? It is sad!
