A leading sociocultural group operating under the aegis of Common Men Assembly (CMA) held its annual convention in Warri February 14th 2022 to elect new leadership of the revered group. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

The group that held its national convention/family get together party saw Jude Angodideke emerging as Chairman of the Assembly again for the third time due to his overwhelming performances as Chairman of the group over time.

Mr. Angodideke Jude in his acceptance speech had appreciated all members of the Common Men Assembly for the confidence reposed on him, stressing that he will continue to ensure that CMA gets to its desired destination in the polity.

Speaking further, Angodideke assured members of the group that the new administration under his watch will explore new innovations, adding that better days are here for his people. 

It would be recalled that the heavily attended national convention of CMA was held at the Eliko Hotel, Efferun in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State where family, friends and political leaders graced the ceremony with well packaged entertaining activities. 

A fast rising Ijaw musician, Alex Owei, popularly known as Sabi Boy was fully on ground to entertain dignitaries during the well organised convention/family get together party. 

According to the newly inaugurated Common Men Assembly Chairman, Angodideke Jude, he noted that the current administration is currently working on admitting new members into the group as well as their induction, adding that such will be done as soon as possible. 

Angodideke further revealed that the group will be sharing Books to schools in Delta State, visiting of orphanage homes, free medical outreach and other activities that are lined up. 

The new legally constituted leadership of the Common Men Assembly include Chairman- Jude P Angodideke, Vice Chairman- Isaiah Evene  Secretary General- Miepeikumo Brialade, Financial Secretary- Theodore Agbegha PRO- Engr Doups Akemotubo and Comr Benjamin Izoukumor, Treasurer. 

While appreciating veryone that had came from far and near to celebrate with the CMA, the group particularly appreciated leaders that supported the body financially during the convention, stressing that without their supports, the convention wouldn’t have been so colourful, stressing that they would continue to owe them in high esteem. 

Some of the donors include Deputy Governor of Delta State- H.E Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Chief (Dr) Braduce Amakazi Angozi, Delta State Governorship aspirant,  Commissioner for Oil and Gas- Hon Emma Agbaduba, Hon Asupa Forteta, Member House of Assembly Representing Burutu North, Mr Godfrey Tare Pondi, King Of the Youths,  Niger Delta, Hon Timi Justice Akuna, Ogulagha Kingdom President,

Others are Amb. Dr. Comr. Shedrack Agediga, ED, PRS Desopadec, Hon Angele Godknows Chairman Burutu Local Government, Mr. Ignatius Ziakegha, Special Adviser to Governor Okowa on Niger Delta Affairs ( Braced Commission), Hon Tom Willy and Hon Daniel Yingi, Former House of Assembly Member, Present Special Adviser  to Delta State Governor on Environment and Marine Transportation, Delta State.

The Liberator Newspapers can report that Comr. Arex Akemotubo, SSA to the Governor of Delta State on political matters was the Electoral Committee Chairman of the 2021/2022 Common Men Assembly Convention. 

Akemotubo was also the interim Chairman of the CMA before handing over to Jude Angodideke as elected Chairman.
