A leading sociocultural group under the aegis of Common Men Assembly (CMA) have mourned over the demise of late Ebimi Oloye (Nee Ezebiri) whom they described as a close associate of the group.

The group while mourning Ebimi Oloye have also postponed its end of year get together party  as a mark of respect to the deceased, stressing that she was a sister the group always cherished and respected.

Announcing the postponement in a condolence message signed by the duo of Sir Jude Angodideke, Chairman Common Men Assembly (CMA) and Hon. Itoto Cedric Amu, Secretary of the group, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide, the duo had described Ebimi’s sudden demise as a huge shock and a great loss to the group.

It noted that Ebimi was also billed to grace the CMA end of year party as usual, stressing that they can’t go ahead with the party as the group has been thrown into deep mourning.

However, the group had appealed to their donors and friends for the postponement occasioned by the demise of their sister, adding that the new date for the get together will be made known at a more appropriate time.

“While we appreciate our donors for contributing financially towards our end of year party, we regret to announce that the event will not be taking place today as scheduled earlier at the TM Hotel here in Warri due to the untimely demise of our dear sister and friend.

“As a group, we are hugely indebted to all those that supported us financially as we will celebrate at the appropriate time .”

Meanwhile, the duo of Angodideke and Itoto had prayed to the Lord Almighty to protect the Ezebiri family from untimely death, noting that this is becoming too much to handle.

The group while condolling with the family of the deceased had admonished them to take heart and prayed to the Lord Almighty to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
