Community Leadership: Thomas Obirita Greets Ofou Family For Giving Him Six Years Consecutive Tenures

A community leader in Ofougbene community, Iduwini Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Comr. Thomas Obirita has appreciated the Ofou family in Ofougbene for giving him six years in the administration of the community.
Obirita issued the appreciation message to newsmen in Warri recently, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.
According to him, he was assistant secretary of Ofougbene community twice from the Ofou family before metamorphosing to become the secretary general of the community in 2017 representing same family till date.
Comr. Thomas noted that he is among one of the most luckiest persons in the leadership of Ofougbene community, stressing that his level of experience is versatile and unprecedented haven’t worked with four chairmen that have meritoriously worked and served the community.
He noted that he has worked with Chief David Ekpotimi, Amb. Chief Evans Etimigba JP, FICMC, Mr. Essi Sokerewei and Comr. Golo Yerin, describing them as wonderful leaders of the community.
Meanwhile, Thomas remarked that his first appreciation goes to the Lord Almighty for giving him the wisdom and opportunity to serve members of the community to the best of his ability.
Speaking further, the young leader also lauded the entire members of Ofougbene community for accepting him as their leader and the massive supports he got from them during his reign as assistant secretary and later secretary general.
Nevertheless, Thomas Obirita noted that his tenure as secretary will officially end on the 16th of December 2019 where a new executive will be inaugurated.
