Condolence: Angele Visit Binebai’s Family, Says Council Will Be Heavily Committed

As condolence visits continue to trail the residence of late Chief Tom Michael Binebai (JP), former commissioner, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), the Chairman of Burutu Local Government Council, Hon. Godknows Angele led all principal officers of the legislative arm to condole with the Binebai family. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

In his speech during the condolence visit, the Chairman of Burutu Local Government Council, Hon. Godknows Angele had on Monday the 1st of February 2022 stated that while chief T. M Binebai was alive, he sees him as a father. 

While regretting the painful demise of the Niger Delta revered double Chief, Angele said he will miss the elderly advice of Chief T. M. Binebai, adding that he has left behind a huge vacuum that will be difficult to fill.

However, the Burutu Council boss noted that Chief Binebai until his death was an outstanding elder in Burutu, Oborotu, Iduwini, Ijaw and Niger Delta at large. 

He continued that the Local Government under his leadership will be heavily committed in ensuring that Chief Binebai is given a befitting burial, promising that the council will be working closely with the family during the said period. 

Nevertheless, Hon. Angele also advocated for the imortalization of Chief T. M Binebai in Burutu as a man who truly defended his people and always stood for what is right, stressing that Ijaw nation have truly lost a great brain and an astute historian. 

The Burutu Council boss was heavily accompanied by all the principal officers of Burutu legislative arm including its leader, Rt. Hon. Spencer Takeme, His political adviser, Comr.  Michael Edoukumor, popularly known as a the senator, Barr. P. D Ekpese and others. 

It would be recalled that special adviser to the Governor of Delta State on Niger Delta Affairs (Braced) Commission, Mr. Ignatius Ziakegha was fully on ground to receive the Council boss and his entire team. 

Responding on behalf of the Binebai family, Comr. Ingo Isaiah appreciated Angele and his entire team for the visit, stressing that the family appreciates the visit and the commitment of the Council Chairman.

High point of the ceremony was the signing of condolence register by the Burutu Local Government Council Chairman, Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele.
