Condolence: Former Delta State House Of Assembly Speaker Enekorogha Commiserates With Binebai Family

Former Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Frank Enekorogha yesterday paid a condolence visit to the Binebai family over the demise of their patriarch Chief Tom Michael Binebai (JP). The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

The veteran lawmaker had in his speech during the condolence visit described Chief T. M Binebai (JP) as a father and a rallying point in Oborotu, stressing that his wealth of experience and rich knowledge of history will be greatly missed. 

Enekorogha asserted that his love for Chief T. M Binebai has always been pure, adding that he will continue to prove his love for Binebai and the family even in death.

Speaking further, Hon. Frank Enekorogha particularly enjoined the immediate family of Chief Tom Michael Binebai to take heart, stressing that God giveth and he also taketh. 

However, the former Delta State House of Assembly Speaker also tasked the family to ensure that he is well abreast with developments relating to the burial of Chief T. M Binebai, often referred to as the last of his kinds by traditional pundits, promising that he will contribute his quota in ensuring that late T. M Binebai is given a befitting burial. 

Responding on behalf of the Binebai family, Hon. Adidi Preboye, Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on political matters lauded Hon. Frank Enekorogha for the visit, stressing that his penchant love for Chief T. M Binebai is something that the family cannot forget. 

Preboye stated that it was during Frank Enekorogha’s reign as Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly that he nominated Chief T. M Binebai, the Olotu of Iduwini Kingdom, Delta State and the Miyenkirigbolomowei of Iduwini Kingdom, Bayelsa State to be the Commissioner, Representing Ijaw Ethnic Nationality on the Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).

He continued that the nomination and subsequent inauguration as commissioner in DESOPADEC to represent the Ijaw ethnic nationality boosted Chief Binebai’s political profile a lot, adding that the family will continue to be grateful to him.

It would be recalled that Rt. Hon. Frank Enekorogha is a three time member of the Delta State House of Assembly, a one time member that represented Burutu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, a former Director General (DG), Director Labour Agency (DLA), Delta State. 

High point of the visit was the signing of the condolence register by Hon. Frank Enekorogha. 

The former Delta State House of Assembly Speaker was accompanied by Chief (Dr) Julius Takeme (JP), Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Delta South Senatorial District, High Chief Enekorogha Austin (JP), Barr. David Otutufegha, Hon. Pere Tubotu, Hon. Johnbull Tanga with the host of others.
