Condolence: Yobugha, Lawuru, Others Visit Oweilaemi, Vow To Participate During Mama’s Burial

Following the over three weeks demise of the lovely mother of a Niger Delta Youth leader, Amb. Barr. Roland Pereotubo Oweilaemi, former President of Ijaw Youth Council ((IYC) Worldwide, sympathisers have continued to storm the residence of the former global President of council to condole with him.

As visitation continues, on Monday 9th of May 2022, Hon. Prince Lucky Yobugha, 

SA Special Duties and Transport, Government House, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State led others like  Chief Promise Lawuru, SSA on security to Governor Okowa of Delta State and others to condole with Oweilaemi. 

Speaking during the condolence visit, Hon. Prince Lucky Yobugha, SA Special Duties and Transport, Government House, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State have stated that the former President of council is a friend and brother that has served Ijaw nation well as a former President of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide. 

Yobugha continued that while he will continue to owe Amb. Oweilaemi in high esteem, he asserted that he had come all the way from Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa state to sympathise with him, stressing that he would have embarked on the visit prior before now, but noted that series of engagements kept him this long.

However, one of the most influential politician in Bayelsa state, Prince Yobugha had told Amb. Oweilaemi Pereotubo to inform him as the burial plans progresses, adding that  he will be participating heavily during the burial. 

He particularly called on Barr. Oweilaemi to take heart, stressing that it is only God that giveth and also taketh, adding that Ijaw nation will show him how much they love and care about him during the burial, stating that he is not alone.

“I use this medium to sympathise with you our former President of council and the entire Pereotubo family over the great loss.” Yobugha stated. 

In a swift reaction, Barr. Roland Pereotubo Oweilaemi had appreciated Hon. Lucky Yobugha, Chief Promise Lawuru, popularly known as the Ozigizaga and others in the delegation for condolling with him, noting that he will continue to owe them in high esteem. 

Speaking further, Amb. Oweilaemi assured Hon. Yobugha, Lawuru and others that they will all duelly be informed as the burial plans progresses.

High point of the visit was the signing of the condolence register by Hon. Yobugha.

It would be recalled that Mrs Poun-ere Kerema Pereotubo ( nee Ekeinga), mother of the former revered President of council, Barr. Oweilaemi died at the age of 84 years in Warri some weeks ago and since then, prominent Niger Delta leaders have continued to storm the residence of Oweilaemi to condole with him.
