Media friendly Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Delta State Governor on Security, Comr. Daniel Ezekiel has warned Deltans not to buy face masks from roadside sellers or hawkers in the state.

The superlative SSA gave the warning recently after having a one on one encounter with a roadside seller or hawker while observing the development in the state.

Speaking on the dangers associated with such development, Comr. Daniel Ezekiel pointed out that during his tour to some parts of the state while monitoring the situation, he said he ran into a certain man who was buying a face mask from a purported roadside seller or hawker, explaining that the said buyer had to touch and select almost all the face masks before eventually buying one out of the many he has touched.

Worried at the development, the SSA to Governor Okowa on Security frowned at the development while describing the unprecedented contagious nature of coronavirus.

He had begged Deltans to completely ignore roadside hawkers as the dangers associated with it is quite high, noting that the lives of every Deltans, matters.

He said citizens must always be alert to protect themselves and avoid whatever that will exposed them to be at risk with the virus.

However, Daniel Ezekiel, the Aluta SSA as he is fondly referred to by his friends had called on Deltans to always give total support to his boss, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as he takes steps in dealing with the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the Aluterising SSA had reiterated that coronavirus is real as there should be no doubt about its reality, recommending that Deltans should purchase their face masks from certified pharmacists in the state.
