COVID-19: Jubilation As Chief Freason Donates Food Items To Sokebolou, Yokiri Communities In Delta – The Liberator

There was massive jubilation in Sokebolou and Yokiri communities, Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State as Amb. Chief Freason Boro Dose (JP) donated food items worthing thousands of naira as palliatives on his part to cushion the effect of the lockdown.

The high ranking Chief was represented by a youth leader of Ogulagha Kingdom, Mr. Abanre Ebikeme and Comr. Isaac Bougha who handed over the food items to chairman of Yokiri community, Prince Churchill Dose that received the items on behalf of the federated communities in Ogulagha Kingdom.

Speaking on behalf of Amb. Chief Freason, Mr. Abanre noted that his boss understands the plight of the people of Sokebolou and Yokiri communities in this trying times occasioned by the novel coronavirus in the state.

He maintained that Chief Boro could not sleep while his people are passing through untold hardship hence he thought it wise to contribute his quota in mitigating the sufferings of the people.
Mr. Ebikeme further tasked the people to obey the lockdown order of the state and called for strict adherence to the safety measures put in place by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Nigeria Center for Disease (NCDC) by maintaining social distance, frequent watching of hands with liquid soaps, face masks as well as the use of alcohol based hand sanitizers.
However, while receiving the items on behalf of the communities, Prince Churchill Dose, Chairman of Sokebolou Community noted that the people are extremely happy for the kind gesture, adding that more good things shall continue to locate Chief Amb. Freason.
The Sokebolu community chairman promised that the food items will be distributed equitably among people of the communities with more attention to the elderly and vulnerable.
Other community leaders present during the presentation ceremony include Noah Ibilou, Mary Tortor with the host of others.
Some of the food items shared to the communities include bags of rice, bags of garri as well as bags of beans.
Meanwhile, it would be recalled that the Niger Delta philanthropist, Amb. Dose had earlier shared food items to residents of water resources where he stays in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State as palliatives to cushion the effect of the lockdown.
