Dekawei Charges Deltans To Support Otuaro’s 2023 Governorship Bid
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Okerenkoko Federated Community, Amb. John Dekawei has called on Deltans to support the Governorship bid of His Excellency, Barr. (Dcn) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Deputy Governor of Delta State and an aspirant for the Delta State Governorship race come 2023.
The Okerenkoko Federated Community Public Relations Officer (PRO) gave the charge yesterday while having a media chat with The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.
According to him, the Delta State Deputy Governor remains the best man to succeed His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State as the next Governor of the state.
Dekawei noted that continuity is very important in governance, stressing that Otuaro who is the current deputy Governor of Delta State is the perfect man to continue from where his boss, Okowa would stop, adding that since Otuaro is part of the current administration of the state, he has been exposed to a lot good things that will add in transforming the state for the benefit of all.
While speaking to the Ijaws in Delta State, Dekawei said that there are roads constructed in Ijaw villages and projects particularly in the riverine communities can all be attributed to the Deputy Governor of Delta State who is from the area.
He continued that no administration in Delta State since the creation of the state that the Ijaws have benefited this much in terms of infrastructural development in the riverine communities even though it can’t be compared to the urban areas, he added that such legacy projects are in Ijaw areas because the Ijaws have a working deputy Governor of the State that has been working closely with his boss, the Governor of the state.
Amb. John maintained that since the creation of Delta State, an Ijaw man has never been elected as Deputy Governor of the state, stressing that the emergence of Otuaro as deputy Governor of the state at this point is an indication that the Lord Almighty really want him to become the Governor of the state to succeed Okowa.
Nevertheless, it would be recalled that His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barr. (Dcn) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro have on Friday 25th of March 2022 purchased his nomination and expression of interest forms at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national secretariat, Abuja.
Amb. John Dekawei is President general of the revered Niger Delta Socio Cultural group under the aegis of Delta Ijaw Youth Movement for Political Advancement (DIYMPA), he group he has used in raising the banner of good governance in Niger Delta and Nigeria at large.
It would be recalled that Amb. John Dekawei is also the chairman cum founder of the John Dekawei Foundation (JDF), a Non Governmental Organisation he has used in transforming the lives of many across the globe.
