The member representing Burutu North Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly Hon. Asupa Forteta has felicitated with His Royal Majesty, Pere Johnbull Polokowei, Apiarogun, Ongolo 1 of Ogbolubiri mein Kingdom in Burutu Local government area of Delta State.
Hon. Forteta made the felicitation through a goodwill message to the Royal father, a copy of which was obtained by The Liberator Newspaper on Wednesday.
The paramount ruler of Ogbolubiri kingdom will on the 6th of December 2019 receive staff of office from the executive governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, at the royal palace in Agbodobiri, headquarters of the Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.
Congratulating the monarch, the lawmaker cum philanthropist noted that the traditional institution especially in the Ijaw land has in ages past remained a rallying point for peace, equity and social justice.
He said he has no doubt that the reign of Apiarogun, Ongolo 1 will usher in the needed peace and development that will help the people to leap frog into a society where peace and development shall reign.
The Lawmaker who many describes as friend of the downtrodden prayed God to grant the monarch the wisdom, understanding and good health to enable him carry on with the enormous responsibility that comes with his new reign as paramount ruler of the kingdom.
”As you receive your staff of office, may you perpetually bask in good health and soundness of mind and your reign be an enduring legacy that will bring solution to challenges in the kingdom”. He prayed.
The man of the people as he is been referred to by many, said he rejoice with the Ogbolubiri royal dynasty, the traditional institution and the entire good people of Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State on the occasion of the staff of office presentation.
It would be recalled that Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta, popularly known as the holy Michael, the Odogboru and political moto saw is from Egodo, a community in Ogbolubiri Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.
