Umbrella body covering all Ijaw human rights activists and comrades in Delta State on Tuesday visited His Royal Majesty, Elder (Capt) King Joseph I. Timiyan (JP),  Agbonu! Torububor 1, paramount ruler of oil rich Ogulagha Kingdom over the demise of his lovely mother,  Mama Amogunye Timiyan.

In his remark during the visit to the revered paramount ruler of Ogulagha Kingdom on behalf of the comrades, Amb. Binebai Yerin Princewill, President of the Delta Ijaw Comrade Community (DICC) noted that the traditional ruler of Ogulagha Kingdom is recognized as a critical stakeholder in Delta State and the Niger Delta region at large.

Binebai asserted that no matter the age of a mother, the demise of someone’s mother is surely a painful one as the feeling of never to see her again in life will continue to be in one’s memory, he therefore described the experience as devastating and painful.

However, Princewill had particularly tasked the paramount ruler of Ogulagha Kingdom and the entire people of the Kingdom to take heart, stressing that Mama until her death was an epitome of love and unity, stressing that the group had come to identify with the king that they are with him during his trying times.

Nevertheless, Binebai had promised that the Delta Ijaw Comrade Community will contribute and participate by way of paying their last respect to Mama Timiyan whenever the burial date is fixed.

Chief Prefugha Karawei who was mandated by the king to receive the DICC delegation noted that Agbonu appreciated the visit and would not hesitate to inform the group whenever the burial arrangements are made.

Meanwhile, The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report that  the Ogulagha traditional ruler is the Chairman of the Delta State Ijaw traditional rulers council.

The Delta Ijaw Comrade Community delegation include Amb. Binebai Yerin Princewill, Comr. Williams Welemu Jnr, Comr. Esegha Morris,  Comr. Gbozimor John and Comr. Enoch Azigbeotu.
