Delta: Police invades Lawuru’s residence, molests son, mother 82, arrests niece, brother, attempts planting ammunition

Senior Special Assistant, SSA to the Delta State Governor on Security and member of the Delta State Waterways/Land Security Committee, Chief Promise Lawuru has alerted members of the general public that strange men allegedly from the Nigeria Police Force invaded his house on Tuesday night.

Chief Lawuru hinted newsmen that the Police Men invaded his house in a commando like manner in Udu while trying to gain entrance into his room beats up his aged mother, twisted and rough handled his little boy of 4 years

in the process.

He explained further that the Police also forcefully dragged away his niece and younger brother while leaving the house.

Chief Promise, the president general of Egbema brotherhood also alleged that efforts by the strange Police officers to plant ammunitions in his house to incriminate him proved abortive as they were allegedly caught in the act.

When asked the whereabouts of his niece and younger brother, Lawuru noted that at the moment they are reportedly at the Ovwian Police station in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.

He said the operation started at 11:Pm on Tuesday night.

According to a post released by Lawuru after the incidence on his Facebook timeline, he had noted that he can’t be silenced.

In his words: “All Niger Delta human rights activists were are you ?

Nigeria police just invaded my house molest my aged mother.Throw my 4 years old boy on the floor. Tried planting armination in my house but was caught on the act.

Nobody can silent me.”

The SSA hinted pressmen that the Police officers who ransacked his house stated that they were deployed from Abuja based on intelligence.

All efforts towards hearing from the Police while compiling this report was unsuccessful.
