Delta South PDP Chairman Takeme Releases New Year Message Of Hope

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta South Senatorial District, Chief Dr. Julius Takeme (JP) has released a powerful new year message to PDP faithfuls across the senatorial district tagged “New Year Message of Hope”. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.
In this message of hope, Dr. Takeme had particularly praised His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State on his developmental strides across the state, stressing that Delta State is truly in a safe hand.
The Delta South PDP Chairman had maintained that prior to this time, previous administrations have made it look as if the riverine communities can’t be developed due to the terrain, adding that the administration of Governor Okowa has rubbished such thinking.
According to him, the harvest of developmental projects across the Ijaw areas and other parts of the state is something that is worthy of commendation.
He continued that the Burutu Township Road, Roads in Ogulagha Kingdom, Roads in Gbaramatu Kingdom, the award of Odimodi/Ogulagha Road and other legacy projects across the riverine communities stands the Governor out among his equals.
However, beside other critical projects across the state, Takeme had described Governor Okowa as a perfect administrator, stressing that the manner with which he has been empowering the PDP leadership in the state makes things easier for the party to continue its dominance in the state.
Dr. Takeme asserted that Governor Okowa’s friendliness to the party is commendable, stressing that he is indeed a round peg in a round hole, maintaining that as a party, they will continue to support and encourage the Governor on his programmes and policies whenever their services is needed.
Dr. Julius continued that the poverty alleviation programmes, youth empowerment programmes through ICT, Agriculture, Tailoring, Fashion and Design, Chartering, Baking with the host of other programmes have no doubt lifted thousands of youths off the streets as it is a step in the right direction.
Speaking further, Takeme had expressed optimism that he is hopeful that before the end of the Okowa’s administration, the Ayakoromo bridge project will be completed as the Governor sees it as an important project in the Ijaw area.
Nevertheless, the Delta South PDP Chairman had called on all PDP supporters in the senatorial district to be hopeful in the new year as a lot of good things will be coming to their way, stressing that the party is aware of all their sacrifices, stressing that a pay back time is gradually coming their way.
Meanwhile, Chief Takeme had also spoken against the insertion of direct primaries into the Electoral Act amended Bill, adding that clauses like electronic transmission of results are good but the direct primaries clauses should be completely expunged.
