DESOPADEC Contractor Opuabade-iboso Lauds Askia, Hails Okowa On Developmental Strides

A leader in Kou Delta, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Comr. Philip I. Ebilade, popularly known as the Opuabede-iboso 1 of Niger Delta has lauded the Managing Director of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Bashorun Askia Ogieh on his developmental strides in the state. Comr. Philip Ebilade gave the commendation on Saturday at Okibou Zion in Burutu Local Government Area while inspecting the level of work done at the site of  his projects. 

Some of the projects ongoing, sponsored by the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) handled by Comr. Ebilade include an hospital building, Water project, guest house as well as a power house. 

The Opuabede-iboso 1 of Niger Delta while lauding Chief Askia, the Managing Director of DESOPADEC noted that the likes of Ogieh in the Delta State politics is rare as he describes him as a detribalized politician. 

He said the type of love shown to him by Chief Bashorun is like a father and son relationship, stressing that he will continue to pray for more political advancement of Askia, declaring that he will continue to hold him dear in his heart. 

Speaking further, the Iboso 1 said he will do all within his powers to ensure that the projects are completed and ready for commissioning as soon as possible. 

However, Comr. Philip while hailing His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State on his leadership qualities, asserted that Delta is truly in a safe hand as he lauded the Governor on his stronger Delta agenda.

Philip said Okowa is really working hard to ensure that both the urban and rural settlements are given a facelift, adding that Deltans should continue to give him the needed supports and cooperation to succeed. 

The contractor also extended his note of appreciation to all principal officers of Desopadec for leaving up to expectations, stressing that the one year in office anniversary of the commission was characterised with lots of completed projects and others that are ongoing. 

Meanwhile, Comr. Okibou Moses Labopere, former chairman of the community  had lauded the DESOPADEC Contractor, Opuade-iboso 1 of Niger Delta for the neat and clean job he is doing for the community, stressing that they will continue to recommend him for future jobs. 

Moses Okibou had also appealed to the management of DESOPADEC to prioritise the projects in Okibou Zion by releasing the needed funds for the urgent competition of the projects, stressing that the projects when completed will render essential services to the community and other neighbouring Communties around.
