A revered socio cultural group operating under the aegis of Iduwini National Movement for Peace and Development, INMPD has once again congratulated His Excellencies, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi A. Okowa and his deputy Barr. (Deacon ) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro on their re-election and subsequent inauguration.

The group had particularly described Governor Okowa and his deputy as a pair made from heaven to salvage Deltans with uncommon transformation, stressing that their administrative acumen is positively amazing.

While reeling on the euphoria of congratulating the Governor and his deputy, the Iduwini National Movement for Peace and Development, had called on the duo to as a matter of crucial importance allow Iduwini kingdom in Delta State to produce the next commissioner that will be representing the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality in the Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC.

This according to INMPD will bring to an end of what they described as an age long political marginalization of the Iduwini people from the affairs of DESOPADEC.

This was however contained in a statement issued to newsmen in Warri recently by the mobilization officer of the group, Engr. Amino Suyei.

The statement had argued that contrary to insinuations from certain quarters, Iduwini kingdom in Delta State is an oil producing kingdom that has a cluster board that deals with multi national oil companies within the area.

The statement had further maintained that with the amended law of DESOPADEC, any member with the required qualification from the communities constituting Iduwini Delta is qualified to occupy the commissioner position or otherwise.

Meanwhile, the group had also reminded the Governor and his deputy on how the entire kingdom delivered total votes for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the just concluded 2019 general elections, adding that it is only fair and just for the Iduwini people to get their rightful position in DESOPADEC by producing the Ijaw commissioner.
