There was joy among indigenes of Burutu Community in Iduwini Kingdom, headquarters of Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State as Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta, member representing Burutu North in the Delta State House of Assembly on Friday 28th of January 2022 stormed the community for its development. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

Following the approval of the phase 3 Burutu Internal Road Project by the Delta State Executive Council, Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta who is currently the House of Assembly member representing the area had on Friday visited the community to interface with the community and youth leaderships of the town on the need to ensure that they create a peaceful and conducive environment for the projects to strive.

Addressing the community, Hon. Forteta said as the member representing Burutu North in the Delta State House of Assembly, he will continue to prioritise the development of communities under his legislative watch, stressing that the people of Burutu North deserved the best from him.

According to him, the reason for his visit include the phase 3 of the Burutu internal roads, the dilapidated Class Room Blocks of Taraebe Primary School, The ON-GOING Burutu Modern Market and many more amidst other requests from the Community.

Responding on behalf of the community, Comr. Ekisah Hermann Ebizimor, Chairman of Burutu Community had appreciated Hon. Asupa in its drive to contribute towards the development of Burutu Community and the entire Local Government. 

He particularly prayed to the Lord Almighty to continue to increase Asupa positively in whatever he desires in life. 

“Words may not be enough for we to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for what you have done for Burutu Community in terms of constituency projects. We are satisfied with your sterling leadership qualities. You are very transparent in your dealings with your representatives. We are very proud of you sir.

“As a community, we are going to provide all the necessary supports to ensure that the Road Project would be completed and commissioned peacefully.”  Ekisah promised. 

It would be recalled that before addressing the community leadership and inspection of the projects around Burutu Community, Asupa and his massive entourage had earlier visited the Council Chairman, Hon. Godknows Angele where he was in accordance to the Ijaw tradition entertained, they later had fruitful deliberations.
