DICC Woman Leader Vows To Mobilize Niger Delta Women To Protest Over NDDC Substantive Board

The Delta Ijaw Comrade Community woman leader, Comrade Miss Precious Lawyer have promised to mobilize women across the Niger Delta region to protest against what she described as the overdue constitution of a Substantive Board for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Precious Lawyer stated that the women will massively join the protest to support the Ijaw Youth Council one month ultimatum  given to the presidency for the constitution of a substantial board.

She noted that if there is no hidden agenda, why is it so difficult for the presidency to constitute the board to accommodate stakeholders from the region.

She further expressed sadness that the Nddc which is enjoying full budgetary allocation despite the forensic audit can not pinpoint one tangible project they have carried out within the past months.

Lawyer asserted that Akwa distributing waste vehicles to states is a huge fraud, that those trucks have been in the garage of the Nddc for years.

She also noted that the just concluded purported training in Delta State was not properly carried out by the interim administration that they just picked people of their choice and camouflage the training.

In her words: “Tell them to mention the names of the schools they want to distribute the science materials to,it is an ambiguous statement to say that science materials shall be distributed to schools in Niger Delta.”

The woman leader had called  on the Presidency to as a matter of urgency not to waive the ultimatum given to  them, that they are tired to see selected and few persons  benefiting at the detriment of the larger  people of Niger Delta.

She futher slammed some persons in the region  that are championing to see that the protest doesn’t hold, that they are the problems of the Niger Delta people, stressing that such persons will be disappointed this time around.
