Dr. Gbe reappointment is divine, well deserved says Dr. Okotete
The Chairman of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Western Zone, Dr. Doubra Collins Okotete has described the reappointment of Dr Barry Gbe as Hon. Commissioner for Economic Planning as divine and well deserved.
In a statement he personally signed at Yenagoa, Dr Okotete applauded Governor Okowa for reappointing a round peg in a round hole.
“I am elated to have learned that Governor Okowa assigned the portfolio of Economic Planning to Dr Gbe a focused leader, visionary and a encyclopedia of knowledge. This is well deserved because Dr. Gbe performed creditably well.
“So, I congratulate Dr Gbe, and equally thank him for his good works most especially his indomitable support to the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Western Zone and Ijaw communities in Delta State.
Dr. Okotete’s statement in part:
“I was ecstatic when I read the news that H.E. Senator Ifeanyi Okowa assigned your previous portfolio [Economic Planning] to you. To me it is well deserved and a reward to your resourcefulness and intellectual capacity to change “waste to wealth,” rewrite Delta’s economic woes by putting the state into the trajectory of development.
“On behalf of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Western Zone [Delta, Edo & Ondo States] I heartily congratulate a leader I call a development economist. I urge Dr Gbe to discharge his duty diligently for the well-being of all Deltans,” he said.
